About Dayna Stein, MST, MSW, LCSW
Hello—I’m Dayna Stein, MST, MSW, LCSW. My path to becoming a therapist was unique. Before becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker about 10 years ago, I spent 15 years as a middle and high school teacher. That experience profoundly shapes the way I practice therapy today.
As an educator, I learned that every person processes information, manages emotions, and responds to challenges differently. I developed the ability to build trusting relationships, explain complex concepts in practical ways, and help people translate insight into meaningful action.
I now bring both an educator's and a therapist's perspective into my work. Clients often appreciate that our sessions are not only supportive and insightful, but also highly practical. Together, we focus on understanding patterns, building skills, and creating realistic strategies that can be applied in everyday life.
My combined background in education and clinical social work allows me to help adolescents, college students, and adults navigate life transitions, anxiety, stress, and relationship challenges with compassion, structure, and evidence-based care. Credentials matter, but what truly makes therapy work is the way we connect.
